NATIONAL AFFILIATION OF RESPECTABLE AND RESPONSIBLE ASSOCIATIONS CO-OPERATIVE LIMITED
Our Story

Kwento

Established in 2013, the National Affiliation of Respectable and Responsible Associations (NARRA) Cooperative Ltd was conceived to engage the Filipino-Australian community in a shared endeavor - the construction of a community centre operating within a co-operative framework. The organisation orchestrates a series of community fundraising initiatives, including the esteemed Ambassador for Culture and Arts event, along with the annual Tribute to Mothers and Fathers. Furthermore, NARRA Co-operative Ltd perpetually conducts membership drives to support philanthropic endeavors, including those aimed at bolstering ACI Central.

In parallel, Community Association Plaza Filipino Inc., founded in 2003, similarly aspired to establish a community centre. In the year 2016, NARRA Co-op Ltd and Plaza Filipino Inc. united their efforts and jointly acquired the ACI Central property. Both associations collaborate extensively with community groups, other associations, and private individuals to secure the financial resources required for the sustainable operation of ACI Central.

By the year 2017, the collective of ACI Central supporters had grown to encompass more than 120 active members, including dedicated volunteers and generous financial contributors to a myriad of fundraising events and educational workshops.

The National Affiliation of Respectable and Responsible Associations (NARRA) Co-operative Limited's main goal is the welfare of the Filipino Australian community.
